Open Secrets is an online magazine that publishes memorable and revealing personal essays on the topics we are taught to keep “secret.” They’re currently accepting “submissions in response to the tragic death of midwife and Black maternal health expert Dr. Jenell Green Smith and the ICE killing of poet and mother Renee Nicole Good.” They’re looking for personal essays.
