The Republic is “a Nigerian publication committed to rigorous, reflective and forward-looking journalism about Nigeria and wider African diaspora.” They’re looking for Sub-Editors. The selected editors will help deepen, organize, and expand their coverage across Nigeria and Africa. These editors will “lead distinct desks—zonal, regional, and thematic—shaping how local realities connect to national, continental, and global conversations.” Sub-Editors are expected to commission two stories per month, earning $150 per published commissioned story, and receive $200 for any stories they write themselves. This is a part-time, fully remote role. To learn more, refer to their founder’s post and this page.
