The Stacks is “a blog for writing on unconventional games and software, their surrounding material, and the ongoing process of documenting history.” They’re open for paid submissions. The following topics are appropriate for The Stacks:

- “(Obscure) videogames history”

- “Art history (particularly as it relates to videogames or interactive media)”

- “Archival/library theory”

- “Sex, gender, or sexual identity in relation to videogames or interactive media”

- “Academic perspectives on videogames”

Rates are $50 CAD for shorter essays/articles of approximately 600-1,000 words and up to $150 CAD for larger scale research essays/articles/projects of approximately 2,000 words or more.
