PULSE 2026 is accepting pitches. Journalists based in EU member or candidate countries can apply for one of two formats:

“Sprint Stories: 2 journalists from different countries, producing timely cross-border reporting. First deadline: 15 July 2026.”

“Deep Dive Series: teams of 3–4 journalists, producing long-form multimedia work across borders. Deadline: 20 August 2026.”

All pitches must address one of their four thematic networks and include a confirmed publishing agreement with an external outlet. Their four thematic networks are:

- The EU Green Transition

- Europe and Global Power Dynamics

- EU Enlargement

- Media, Technology & Information Society

Their daily rates typically range from €160 to €300.
