“We work with freelance writers for all of our features and departments, but for the upcoming issues are particularly interested in stories that delve into Seattle’s arts and culture, style, tech scene, politics, and urban life.

Stories should be smart, intriguing, and help our readers better understand and experience the city. We’re looking for a point of view and original thought buoyed by diligent reporting. Consult our print magazine and website for examples of the work we publish—we’re looking for fascinating people, burning questions, or a local angle on national issues.

We are also looking for longform ideas from experienced writers.” Rates usually begin at $0.50 per word.
