Islamic Horizons is the flagship publication of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Their assistant editor is looking for Ramadan-related pitches. They want “stories that go beyond food and culture and dig deeper into what the holy month looks like for communities that are overlooked and marginalized.” Rate is $0.30 per word. If interested, send your pitches to bareerah.zafar@isna.net by the end of the month. Please note that this opportunity is only open to U.S.-based writers. To learn more, refer to their assistant editor’s post and their website.
