Skin Deep is an organization making space for Black and POC creatives working for justice. They’re open for pitches and looking for “bold, fresh work that sits at the intersection of racial justice and culture.” They’re flexible about format and open to pitches for “first-person and opinion; reviews; interviews; creative writing; visual art; audio; deeply researched pieces and investigations; and experimental formats that push at the bounds of genre.” They pay £150 to £300 per piece. Skin Deep makes “space for Black creatives and creatives of colour to work towards justice through cultural production.” They are seeking pitches and submissions from Black creatives. They publish “writing, photography, video, illustration; features, interviews, explainers, analysis; fiction, non-fiction, or a hybrid of the two.” They prefer pieces of around 1,200 words.
