Asterisk is a quarterly magazine that covers “science, emerging technologies, economics, politics, culture, global health, threats to human development and flourishing.” They’re looking for pitches for their next issue: “Issue 13 Asterisk is doing Hard Science. Science, meta-science, public epistemics. Biology, energy, the environment, drugs, clinical trials. CRISPR, cancer, consciousness. How do we best fund science? How do we best communicate science? How do we do science better? How do we do science faster?” Pay is $2,000 for pieces of 3,000 to 4,000 words. Drafts are due in October.
