BBC Wildlife Wants Great Stories of Encounters with Wildlife

BBC Wildlife is seeking great stories of encounters with wildlife:

“We’re after your most amazing wildlife encounters — the moments when you witnessed something truly remarkable, incredibly rare, downright weird or unexpected, or even found yourself in a life-threatening situation — for our ‘Tales from the Bush’ section.

It can be anywhere in the world, but should not insinuate disturbance (eg inappropriate selfies; stroking; over-proximity; elephant rides). We should be able to summarise the encounter with a brief but intriguing headline - or use a catchy quote.

You need to be able to write in a lively, engaging style. Ideally, you’ll have some photos.”

If interested, send your pitches to tales@discoverwildlife.com. Standard fee is £225 for 650 words including use of a 1 to 2 pictures. To learn more, refer to this post.
