Strange Horizons: Fungi in SFF
Strange Horizons is a magazine of science fiction and fantasy fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Their editor has issued a submission call for non-fiction: “<em>Strange Horizons</em> invites non-fiction submissions for our March 30 special issue on “Fungi in SFF”. Please send in your mycelial pitches to gautam.strangehorizons@gmail.com.” Strange Horizons publishes non-fiction in various formats; essays, interviews, round-tables, and columns; pay ranges from $20 to $75 for these formats. They are open for speculative fiction from Indigenous writers only, and will stay open until they hit a submission cap. They also accept other genres (from all writers), like non-fiction and poetry.

UPDATE: They will not open for general fiction submissions in January, and may open for these in February - see this announcement on their website; they're open now for a special Palestine-themed issue, until 31 January 2021.
This is a magazine of speculative fiction. They specially
welcome work from groups that are under-represented or have been marginalized
in the genre. They also accept poetry, reviews, essays, columns, interviews,
and round-tables. They are open Monday to Tuesday (see guidelines), and may reopen general fiction submissions in February after a hiatus.
Length: Up to 10,000 words for fiction
Pay: $0.10/word for fiction; varies for others
