Harpers is Seeking Long-form Reported Pieces and Essays

Harper’s Magazine is America’s oldest general-interest monthly magazine. The magazine provides its readers with a unique viewpoint on “politics, society, the environment, and culture.” Their associate editor Charlie Lee has a new role at the magazine, and is currently seeking pitches for long-form reported pieces and essays. Harper’s is open for submissions

This prestigious magazine accepts unsolicited fiction submissions. Writers can query for nonfiction; they do not accept poetry. Fiction submissions, as well as queries for nonfiction, have to be mailed. Ideas for the Readings column, however, can be emailed. They pay, but payment is unspecified. Details here.
